Sub: Inviting participation in 5th India Trend Fair 2019, Tokyo, Japan from July 24-26, 2019 Dear Member, The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) along with Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC) and Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) is organizing an India Pavilion at the 5th India Trend Fair 2019, to be held in Tokyo from July 24-26, 2019 at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden, Tokyo, Japan with 20 participants. Japan India Industry Promotion Association (JIIPA) are the organizers of the 5th India Trend Fair which is an exclusive Business Matching Event giving an opportunity to exporters to showcase their products, and supply capabilities of value-added products with special emphasis on the products designed to suit Japanese fashion trends and requirements. The fair promises to be different from other regular trade fairs in Japan aiming at delivering an assurance of success for its participants. Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India & Japan As you are aware the FTA between India & Japan is in force from August 2012. Almost all the Textiles and clothing products qualify for duty free access for import from India to Japan, offering great potential and scope to increase India’s export share to this market. Visitors’ Profile: Wholesalers, Chain Stores, Departmental Stores, Trading Companies, Retailers, Boutique Buyers, etc. Participation Fees Subsidized participation fees for 9 sq.mtr. booth is Rs. 2,20,000/-. Stall sizes above 9 sq. mtr. are also available in multiple of 3 sq. mtr. Cost per sq. mtr. above 9 sq. mtr. will be at Rs. 37,500/- per sq. mtr. Kindly note that corner booths will be charged extra at 10% of the participation charges subject to availability. MAI / MDA Funding In accordance with recent amendments in the MAI / MDA guidelines and conditional approval from the Ministry of Commerce, subsidized fee is available subject to the following important criteria: -
Those exporters who have already availed subsidized fee under MAI scheme for 3 or more times including past participation will not be considered as ‘eligible’ participants to avail MAI benefit for further participation in this event. -
Those exporters who have already availed MAI benefit for 3 or more times can participate by paying full participation fee. -
An exporter can avail MAI benefit for participation in a maximum of 2 approved MAI events in a financial year. Further, the participants who have completed 12 months of membership with the Council and having exports of FOB value upto Rs.30 crore in preceding year will be entitled for air fare reimbursement for the travel of Regular Director / Partner / Proprietor of the company. The reimbursement will be upto Rs.70,000/- (economy class air travel) or actual (whichever is less) or a lumpsum amount subject to the final approval received from the Ministry. CANCELLATION In case of cancellation / withdrawal of participation, full participation fees will be forfeited. APPLICATION Exporters registered with TEXPROCIL and other Textile EPCs can apply for participation in this event.
