Happy New Year!
I have been noticing on some social media sites that churches are focusing on having a 20/20 vision in 2020. I must say, I like how the year and the focus line up nicely.
Anyway, as we stop and think about the coming year, one passage comes to mind: 1 John 5:14-15.
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
We have some lofty goals: to present in 25 or more churches this year, and to see our support level above 50%.
Since we're currently at 14.5%, this might seem like an impossible goal...but we don't think so. We serve a big God who does impossible things with ease. If it is His will, we will see our support level rise to 50% or more.
I am reminded of James chapter 4 verse 2 where we are told that "...ye have not, because ye ask not." We know that we are asking God to do some big things for our ministry this year. But we trust that He can do them.
Missionary Acres saw two couples retire or step down at the end of 2019: one staff and one volunteer. There is an urgent need for more staff and more volunteers at Missionary Acres.
God has called our family to this field of service, and we are excited to go. But we need some help from all of you along the way.
Please pray with us, that we would get more meetings scheduled for this year, and that God would see our support level raised above the 50% mark. We are also praying for a bunkhouse/trailer to pull behind our van and safety for our family as we travel. We have $1200 saved right now and are hoping to use our tax refund to increase that number by a few thousand.
We thank all of you who have joined our team already; some in prayer and others financially. We have seen God do some amazing things in our lives the past year. We are praying that He does even more in 2020. I want to leave you with two more verses:
Mark 11:24
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Matthew 19:26
"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
Thank you for your prayers.
